New Post

Thought I'd put up a cute pic of my kitten Sophie. She's sleeping so peacefully that it's hard to tell that normally she can be so mischievous and active.

You guys have a lot of books. And I have to ask, have either of you actually read The Age of Federalism or whatever it was called b/c, no offense, but it looks seriously boring. And over my head. Of course it could be just because I hate all things political, feministic, beurocratic, capitalistic, governmentalized, historical, and otherwise makes you think-able. My bookshelf has a lot of romance novels, some hardy boys, berenstein bears, stephen king. Of course there are countless psychology textbooks and books about death and dying. As well as a few literary classics like farenheit 451. But definitely nothing on federalism.

Actually I have read the Age of Federalism and even to me, it was tough. Some of it is boring, but it's a fascinating boring. I have full shelves devoted to "political, feministic, bureaucratic, historical and thinkable" books - it's what helps make me brilliant! :-) And those are just my books, and the bottom shelf of both my bookshelves. Nick has four bookshelves. And on the top shelves of mine are Berenstein bear books, romance novels, chick-lit, Get Fuzzy Comic books and classics like Pride and Prejudice, Gone with the Wind, etc. You'll see when you get here.

I like to think Sophie is reading via osmosis, but I think she's just sleeping.

well, it never hurts to expand your mind. I just don't want to expand it in that direction:)

I would be very interested to know in which direction you expand your mind. For example, does it include dirty books?

The expansion includes everything that does not involve the government or politics:) I love to learn; I just like to learn things that aren't going to destroy my faith in the goodness of the human race. For instance, books about serial killers...not so bad. Their motives are never about greed, it's about neurosis and impulse control. Books about politicians... how can people actually be so evil and yet still be considered sane or normal? It's scary.

Maybe they're not sane or normal?
